Options
I was getting information on some tablets on here when OH surprised me for my bday and gave me the latest ipad...apparently he's been saving bit by bit and i was spoiling his surprise by looking at tablets! great cos I would have never bought an ipad (out of my price range). Anyway i've got it now and love it of course. But i know nothing about apple/mac/ipad etc..so any advice here? they seem to be so many apps. I've been looking at the free ones for the moment...I also need to learn about icloud??? itunes??. thanks for any advice.

What do you want to do with your iPad?

Without knowing what you want to do, it's difficult to point to particular apps. What's the use of us recommending a spreadsheet app if you want to play games? Or a word processor if you want something to scan QR codes?

Probably never. There are apps that claim to deal with the problem but as far as I can tell they simply translate the relevant content on a server in a land far, far away before streaming it to your 'pad.

Any specific examples you can't do without?

    Lorax HD
    Jetpack
  • The Lego Harry potter games are really good, if you like marvel iron man and spiderman are good, checking the top selling lists is a good place to start
