Life Insurace Claim?

Hi, I am currently paying out for life insurance which I took out when I got my first mortgage, approx 9 years ago.
Can I reclaim it as mis-sold? I have no dependants so really don't see the point of having this.
The policy is with Legal & General. Maybe I was stupid to take it out, it was just one of those things I was told I needed, however I now don't feel that I do.
Thanks for any replies.

if you live alone and have no financial dependants then it looks mis-sold.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
