B&Q cheap plants!

B&Q are selling boxes of plants for 50p. The normal price is £5 for a box of 24 plants, £3 for a box of 12, etc.
I got 24 trailing lobelias, 24 petunias and 24 mimulus for £1-50. There was only one iffy plant but I think that is saveable. All the others are fine and thriving. I just gave them all a can of water when I got home as the soil was rather dry in the boxes.
B&Q have reduced most of the boxes by £2 only but if you search around the plants, you will find the 50p bargains. For my store, the 50p plants were outside the front of the store and were intermingled with the other plants.
HTHs.

Thank you will pop down to mine tomorrow - hope I'm not too late! Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

I think these are likely to be local reductions. I pop in every so often, and they're often reduced, but amount charged varies a lot. One guy only puts things down to £1, even dead sticks. I stock up when they put whole trays out for 20p, or at a push 50p. They have week numbers on the boxes, and if the weather's been rotten, they have plenty to reduce.

Thank you so much - got some great plants in the reduced bit this morning although nowhere near as bargainalicious!
Mind you I have found a great market plant man in Stratford shopping city who is even cheaper although obviously less variety. Here dead we lie because we did not choose

It all depends on the stock, if there having a delivery and still lots of stock from the earlier weeks they get reduced. So it all generally depends on how well your local stores doing0

Not many in my local when I went in this morning. I did however wander round & pick up the plants that looked like they should be in the clearance section & when I went to till I pointed out how sad they looked & all where reduced to 50p each:D0

I popped into Wilkos on my way home tonight and got 4 dead looking fushias for 10p and 3 climbing plants for 50p each. All are now happily soaking up water in the sink. If they're anythig like the ones I got earlier in the year for 10p they'll perk up nicely.
All the ones that are dead looking because they're so dry they simply mark with a sticker saying TLC and the price0
