That's not what I wanted to hear.

Sounds like it's time for a replacement.
How do I add a signature?

If you do, I suggest you steer clear of HP, the later ones aren't much & the drivers are horrible!

OK so that's what to avoid. Any recommendations to consider?

Colour considered (although already have HP1220C Deskjet)

    Duplex unit.

Network ready (Ethernet preferred as cable already in place, but wireless considered.)

    Large(ish) capacity paper tray

check boards for a dry solder joint, check connections are not loose, check caps to see if any bulging, failing that they can be bought on ebay very cheaply second hand.
[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that

Don't know if it's any help but I've got a HP1320 laser (2005) and the on/off switch can sometimes 'have a funny turn', but once it's on, it does stay on.
    Move along, nothing to see.
  • Not wanting to be a party pooper, but thats somewhere between 15 and 20 years old, most hi tech electronics dont last that long. Its probably doing what old TV's and PC's do, the electrolytic caps start to bulge and blow, or the pn junctions in any transistors in the thing are going short.

I was chucking LJ4000's into skips in 1997.......
