How much £'s while in transit in Singapore airport?

I will have 5 hours. If I do not get the free tour then I am hoping to visit the Singapore Flyer.

Arrive 3pm, leave 8pm to onward flight to Sydney (From London).

Just taxi to Singapore Flyer and back, entrance fee is £15. plus cheap snacks and cheap gifts at airport to remind me of trip.

I'm just after pictures of the skyline.

Would £125 be enough, which is $250 singapore dollars. Well less as that is the official rate.

Flying with Singapore Airlines.

    More than enough.

The free tour is easy to get, had it twice no problems.

Thank you very much for your post.

I should have just enough time to register for the last tour that leaves at 4pm.

Free tour would be ideal really.

The only thing I would be concerned about is traffic, it can be a huge problem at certain times of the day - Yet at others the place seems deserted.

Changi airport is one of the best in the world in terms of transit and so if you decide to err on the side of caution you won't be too bored.
I've just thought though, the flyer lasts about 45 minutes iirc, don't forget to factor that in.

Taxis are relatively cheap in Singapore too so you should be fine - think mine cost less than 50 Singapore dollars to get into the centre of the city.

MRT (Train/Subway) from the airport is about 3 Singapore Dollars to the city centre. Buy your ticket from the machine on the platform in the airport.

    Hi OP,

IMO Singapore airport is the best in the world! I have travelled through many, many times and once had a 19-hour transit there.

The free city tour is available if you are in transit > 5 hours as I recall and was very simple to participate in - basically just go to the meeting point, get a ticket and get on the bus. Even though I knew the city, it still killed a few hours and was free!

You should have change from your proposed budget. The shopping at Changi is, like everything else, excellent.

    Bon Voyage!
    TQ :)
