Lloyds tsb bank charges, can't claim 6 years???

Sent bank charges reclaim letter as per the MSE template last Tuesday by recorded delivery, when on phone banking this morning was told lloyds TSB had credited account for £55 for refunded bank charges yesterday morning.

So when I was asking for details as the letter I send requested to pay back charges for the past 6 years, her reply was this no longer happens you can only claim back for 1 year!

Is this true??? Or am i just being fobbed off??

Hope its not true because if I am entitled to 1 being refunded I'm sure I should be due them all :-)))

You have no right to get any bank charges back. Since the banks won the court charges case, most people are given a straight "no". However, the banks may award goodwill payments and some have taken an approach of allowing one reclaim in your life with them (covering a limited period of time) or only looking at charges over 12 months.

You have no entitlement to anything. You are subject to the goodwill of the bank and what they decide to offer you, if anything.
