Please make the arrows more distinct/ a little larger as they are quite hard to use.
Otherwise it is a very useful tool for people who do all their shopping at one supermarket. I don't do all my shopping at one store, use Lidl for some items, use Home Bargains for many dry goods and also use the market for my eggs.
I have found that when buying fresh produce that I want to last the week, it is better to pay Tesco/Sainsbury's prices as Lidl's generally go off too quickly, so the actual price isn't the only factor to take into consideration

I use Lidl, clicking on the "Why is my usal retailer not listed" just gives a blank box with same question, but no answer

I first tried to click on the percentages then realised I should be clicking on the arrows. Then it took me awhile to realise there weren't 2 arrows for each category but I got there in the end. I think I qualify for dumbest tester so it definitely works!
It seems to be another useful tool for our moneysaving kit although on the whole I've already gone down as far as I'm comfortable with.

I think it's way too simplistic. I tend to buy what is cheapest for many things (not always value depending on offers etc) but the things I don't it's either because of ethical considerations or ingredient considerations e.g. I can only buy certain brands of washing and cleaning products because I'm allergic to some of the ingredients in mainstream ones (inc most own brands), value versions of things like baked beans and squash often have sweeteners etc

That's a great tool and really easy to use. Seeing how much I could save will be a real motivator to remember to downshift!

Not a true test as I don't shop in any of the supermarkets listed, ever.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your feedback. We've fixed the Asda glitch so if you want to retry, that would be fab.

Thanks

this seems extremely generic & stating the obvious

its not doing a real comparison, as its never comparing any products
• Agree with the posters who've said it's too simplistic, as it's assuming there's always a suitable downshifted brand available. The few branded items I buy are only because of allergy/intolerance reasons, or because there isn't an own/value brand available in my local store. The majority of my shopping is fresh produce, which doesn't really fit into any particular category (although I marked it as own brand).

I think it's fine as an eye opener for a mainstream shopper, but not actually that useful for an already savvy shopper.

Hi all,

Thanks for all your feedback. We've now updated the tool and started a new feedback thread - if you could reply there, that would be great.
