Parking Eye ANPR

Hi all, not a regular poster but definitely a regular reader
I have walked into work this morning and been given a Parking Charge Notice by my boss from Parking Eye. It is one of there ANPR cameras that have "caught" me overstaying 28 minutes. My boss is the owner therefore he received the invoice and passed it onto me, luckily I did some research before paying it. I understand I am best to ignore? But how do I tell my boss this who is going to be receiving the letters? Any bullet points that I can give to my boss to ease his mind would be greatly appreciated. If a copy of the notice is required let me know, thank you guys

Unusual advice for a unusual case.
Fill your name in as Driver and cut the boss out, then just keep pishing them about until they get fed up by asking one silly question after another after another.
I am quite sure we can supply you a question or two.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Parking Eye don't have ANPR. They have to apply to the DVLA just like everyone else.
Yes, ignoring is the best option and you could print-off the PE letter chain from the forum sticky to show him what to expect next and direct him to this Fleet News article:

I'll give it a whirl, I did think as it is the person driving entering the contract and this being a fleet vehicle how are they going to know who was driving?0 -
Unusual as in you are not the registered keeper. also it would do no harm inn telling your boss and any one else about this scamFrom the Plain Language Commission:

It depends on your boss. If he's astute enough to realise it's just a speculative invoice and that it, and any threatening debt collector letters are just to be ignored, you don't need to do anything.
If your boss is going to be a pain, send a letter on his behalf stating he was not the driver and to contact the guy who was and give your name. No need to send your home address - it's not your boss's problem.0 -

Am I then making myself liable by stating that I am the driver?0 -
Sort of.
But they can only actually puruse you for the amount they suffered as a financial loss as a result of the overstay. Was it a pay and display car park? You would owe them 28 mins worth (or whatever the minimum period is) only, and NOT £60 (or whatever it is). If it was a free car park, you owe them zero.
Also, a recent ruling in the Upper Tribunal (VCS v HMRC) ruled that unless the parking company actually own the car park, or have been granted sufficient rights to the land (they won't, trust me), then they have no legal right to pursue ANYONE for money in respect of the parking charges.
So you would be safe anyway.Je Suis Cecil.0
