Thank you for all your replys. I'm going to dig out the contract now to check but if it doesn't state thy will be repaired replaced not sure how that would work as they are all built in appliances?

I have emailed the agent again repeating my concerns and they finally arranged for someone to come out tomorrow before they to check them. I am also in receipt of the original check in forms and have manually wrote on these any defaults I found when I moved in and intend to go through them tomorrow and get the to sign before I agree to sign.

Agree washer/dryers are rubbish but my little one and the next use reusable nappies so there's a lot of washing and they take forever to dry on a line. If I had somewhere to put it I would honestly just buy my own. Launderette is not an option I live 15 miles from the nearest town which I don't think even has one tbh!
  • I would say with children a tumble dryer is pretty essential especially if your used to using them.

I thought you were spending a fortune at the laundrette?

ATM I'm washing at my MIL and drying at a launderette near husbands work. I'm not looking for compo where not due, I'm not trying to rip anyone off but it is costing us. And just because I can use my MIL washing machine doesn't mean it's not costing her money.

Mil doesn't have room for a dryer either sadly.
