Selling electrical goods secondhand

Hi there
I won a large electrical item in a competition and now I want to sell it privately. It is still unopened in box. ( I had went out and bought one in the interim period) What happens about warrenty/quarentee is it passed to whoever I sell it to or is it now useless (Just want to know if the buyer asks)

It all depends on the terms and conditions of the manufacturers warranty.
As a warranty is not a legal right, manufacturers are allowed to state their own conditions for that warranty, and they do sometimes state things such as it is limited to the original owner, it must be purchased from an approved reseller etc.
Your best bet would be to go to the website of the manufacturer (if they have one), and see if you could find anything on there. If not, consider sending an e-mail to the maker to ask their advice.
Bear in mind though that many companies do state that a purchase receipt is required fo claim under the warranty, so you should explain how you obtained the item.0 -
The only thing is that I won it from the actual manufacturer - Beko0

Just sell it and that if it goes faulty the buyer can go via you to return it.0
