Holiday booked as All Inclusive but ..

Hi guys ,

I need some advice please .

I have booked " All Inclusive " holiday later this year .

My understanding/experience is that AI includes snacks albeit chips and burgers :)

Reading on TA it seems that the hotel don't do snacks.

More full board with drinks ?

Any advice would be appreciated .

Thank you .

Eat three meals a day and you shouldn't need snacks?

Not hungry and would rather have a snack? Eat something small at mealtimes.

Not sure why this is bothering you? Are you a snackaholic?

A hotel that I have stayed at advertised snacks available and it turned out to be a DIY toastie service in the bar. It was still the same when we revisited five years later :D

AI facilities/services can and do vary wildly, next time read the AI inclusions list before you book or if it's that important to you see if you can pay a fee to transfer to different accommodation.

Bottom line is, if you are getting three meals a day plus unlimited drinks between certain hours then you are AI.

    Totally agree with this.

Usually there is a list (probably not exhaustive) in the brochure of what is included in AI.

Typically (but not always), the more you pay, the more you get.
For example, in a 5* AI in Mexico you may be able to get food and drink 24/7 but you might not get the same in a 3* in Benidorm.

Some AI hotels only supply local alcoholic drinks, others offer international drinks.

I tend to have 6 or 7 small meals a day rather than 3 larger ones

So I would probably have made sure before booking an AI that I could do that, bit late for you now but I suppose you could pinch some bread rolls and cheese or something at lunchtime and keep it in your mini-bar for snack attacks :)

This has got to be a wind up?

    What has?
That I eat 6 or 7 small meals per day? or my - tongue in cheek - suggestion of purloining a few rolls?

six 'meals' a day is often recommended as a way of balancing blood sugar thoughout the day, especially for people who are dieting. Its typically, breakfast, lunch and dinner, with three healthy snacks in between.

As other posters have said all inclusive varies a lot.

What hotel is it, Where did you book, and what did the agents info say about all inclusive?

Maybe the original poster has hungry kids who are fussy eaters and doesn't want to be buying extra food for them. I know my kids are like that on holiday. They will pick at the food in the restaurant but prefer burger and chips by the pool. Not ideal but they are on holiday after all!

Then they should have read what was included with the AI
