Water pressure too high - bigger shower rose?

I recently had a bathroom refit, including a new shower (there was no shower before). After 3 months the seal within the rose popped out, leading to the water shooting out the side. I managed to jimmy it back in but the water flow still isn't great. I have spoken to the manufacturer who is sending out a new rose, but they did mention that the water pressure may be too high causing the seal to be forced out. The shower rose is 8" in diameter. Could I solve this by getting a bigger rose, thereby increasing the outlets for the water?

Thanks.

  • you could, but if you want to save fuel/ water (therefore money) be better to restrict the flow of water to the head.
Google shower flow regulator. some water co's give them away or you can buy them for about a fiver

Contact your installer. Btw...who supplied the materials?

Agree to get your installer involved but, pro tem, why not just open the shower valve to a lesser extent than full blast?

    Cheers
