in Techie Stuff
Hi my hubby has a Samsung SII phone and wants a cable to enable him to show his pics etc on our TV. Can anyone let me know which cable we will need please. Got told in Orange shop that it would be a HDMI cable we needed but just had a look and it seems a bit of a minefield with micro adaptors etc coming up. A plain english 'which one' would be fab.

    If you have a DNLA enabled TV set you can stream it to your TV from your phone.

    If not the adapter you need is one like this
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/TV-Out-Adapter-Samsung-Galaxy-G-HUB/dp/B005GCBVXM

    You will then need an HDMI cable to connect from that to your TV i believe.

    Thanks for that, how would I know if my TV is DLNA enabled and the adaptor looks like the ones I was looking at so that will be helpful if our TV is not DLNA enabled.

    If you have the manual it will say, failing that do a quick google search on the make and model.
    Really depends how old the TV is.

    Right I got a HDMI cable and a MHL adaptor as advised but we still can't get the pics and videos to come up on TV. The media centre just says' No removable disc is connected', Any ideas as to what we do would be good folks please.

    You don't select media center on the TV to view the phone - you select the HDMI connector it is plugged into.

    Yeah I did that first in fact both sockets and both options but nothing happened so went on media centre to see if it worked!
