Sold Some Hand Cream, But The Box Is Leaking, What To Do?

Evening all. I sold some hand cream that I got as a present a bit ago. I never used it. I had 2 boxes so put both of them on. They sold over the weekend. The buyer has not yet made payment.
However, I have noticed both tubes from both boxes are leaking. I obviously cannot send this item for that reason. I tried to get some more from town today, but the item is no longer sold. Apparently it is discontinued.
What do I do? Do I try and hunt it down elsewhere? If I email the buyer, will he do a SNAD (or whatever else buyers can do, sorry, I don't understand all the terminology)? I don't want to let him down, but I don't see what else I can do?
HELP!

email the buyers and expain the issue
ask them if they would still like them at a reduced price(this covers them thinking you are pulling a fast one.
Or to refund/cancel the sale0 -
Mimi, along with Custardy's response, I would take a photo of the leakage and offer to send it to the buyer, for 2 reasons:
1. They can see you are honest and not trying to back out of selling something.
2. They can see how problematic the leak/damage is and better decide what to do."The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.
...If you can fake that, you've got it made."

I would offer it to them for the cost of postage if they still wanted it. If you send it do make sure that it can't leak further & damage other post.0

Thank you so much angels. I appreciate your time and messages.
I will do just that. I am going to hit some more shops tomorrow to see if I can, by chance, get some more. If the worst comes to the worst, I will just message the buyer, apologise and do what you have said and see if that works.

If it's no longer made you may be more likely to find it online or the 99p & £1 shops.0 -

If the buyer does want them, put them into strong plastic bags (preferably ziploc ones).
I must say it is very good of you to source replacements - although the price must have been a good one for it to be worth doing that!"Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4
