Why have I been charged 2% to do a balance transfer with MBNA when it was not supposed to start until 1.5.05. as per the last e-mail from Martin ?

Unfortunately MBNA have advised for a while they 'may' charge 2% for BT's. In reality the the only ones you have a hope of getting free is when you request the BT when you return the signed T&C's and fill in the slip attached to the reply envelope. On the the back of the slip it advises you will not incur any charge.

You could call up and complain but I doubt they will waiver it. It is the 3% fee that starts from 1/5/2005.
