Car insurance - just got FPN for 3 points

Hanging up my phone while stopped at a red light! Pretty harsh but worried about my insurance. Do I need to call my insurance company to tell them immediately?

read your policy
mine has three sections........
Must tell them before............. new car/drivers/address
must tell them asap................. incidents/accidents
must tell them at renewal.........convictions0 -
I need to renew within the month and looks like it's adding an extra £200/year
Is this normal?
The points aren't actually there yet, haven't sent off my licence yet.0 -
doesn't matter if it's normal, the advice is always shop around, almost invariably you will find someone else who will do a better deal (maybe even your existing insurer but as a new policy holder rather than a renewal)0
