when can i set up the direct debit

I switched my SO from barclays to FD, they sent me a letter saying the 'transfer date' would be 26June, now i wanna set 2 direct debit to qualify for the halifax bonus, when could i do so?

    To "set up" DDs on your existing Barclays account - you just arrange with the companies/organisations concerned that you want to pay (bills, credit card payments, etc) - anytime you like.

    But would halifax not transfer my SO that were suppose for FD as well? Is it best to do it after the 'transfer date'

    Yeah I would. Just need to make sure the DD's can be set up on your Barclays acct after 26th and before the Halifax cut-off date.
