What is with Co Op not knowing about the £100 (yes, £100, not £200) switching bonus??

My brother & i both apply in January via the affinity link. http://www.britannia.co.uk/_site/microsite/affinity/current-account/current-account-plus/index.html#affinity=scfc That one to be precise, which back in January was offering £100 for a switch.
So we both apply on the same day. I get my pay out on 16th May, my brother gets sweet fa.
So he calls up & gets told something about the switch being finalised, yada yada 10th June. Bear in mind that he had to go through a right faff to get that far & part of which was to read out the URL i just posted there, which when you're saying underscore, hyphen, hash, hyphen, is a bit of a nuisance. And as you'd predict - he got the Co Op saying it was a Britannia issue. Ahh the good ol' pass-the-book.
Anyway, 10th is a Sunday, so checks today ... no £100.
Call today & they don't have a clue, put on hold for 5 or so minutes, get back & tell him no you don't qualify as you should've applied by October for the £200.
Clearly this person has ignored the fact my brother specified £100 (i was there, phone was on speakerphone).
My brother tells the chap, NO this is for a £100 offer & don't tell me i don't qualify when my brother (that'd be me then) applied on the same day, funded the same way & has already been paid out the £100 switch incentive.
Cue 15 minutes of trying to get this guy to load up the page, he finally gets it. Then needs to go talk to his manager again.
10 minutes on hold & my brother has enough & hangs up as by now the call is already at 40-45 minutes which is ridiculous when it's not even at busy period.
Why wont they just acknowledge the damn offer?? Complaint going in!
