Hi all don't mean to hijack this thread but looking for some advice,

my wife and I never go into our overdraft after pay day each month so it seems sensible to me that as we wouldn't incur interest we should start paying for things on credit cards to earn some rewards namely airmiles so if anyone can point us in the direction of something like that it would be good please

if possible we would like something with an app that can track our spending like I have on my current natwest credit card

    Cheers

By sticking in and working hard for a well paid job.

Yes some people might judge me because I had a gambling habit, but things are on the up and I'm hopefully back on the savings front. I'm on 19 so there is plenty of time to rebuild my savings.

Got accepted for a CC, a capital one one, big apr, but I'm going to put my monthly fuel on this and pay it of in full. This is to show I can manage credit and hopefully build my credit rating.

I'd recommend Natwest World - it comes with mypoints which you can use on flights, vouchers etc. I've got over 4500 points already and I don't use my card a lot! :)
Important tip: It's nothing to do with how many points you have but all to do with how much those points are worth in cash/vouchers etc.

If 1000 points have a cash value of 10p, then they're pretty worthless i'd say (especially when you consider how much of your hard-earned wages had to be spent to amass them in the first place).

So, for anyone looking for rewards by way of points, always check the redemption value before you take a dive.

I'm in the wrong line of work then :) I've stuck in at my current employer since being 17 and am on 18k with bonuses. Its IT support, so not exactly the best paying market; I'm happy with that but if I could command 26k I would!
