Washing Machine Woes

My washing machine sounds like a pneumatic drill when spinning (16 months old :() Got someone coming out tomorrow to have a look. So I don't look like a complete and utter twit can anyone tell me what they think the problem could be and what sort of cost would I be looking at to put it right?

Many thanks.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

    Hello Bambam

I can't give you any technical advice but if you haven't already done so...............check that the machine is level using a spirit level. It was probably checked when you first installed the machine but maybe the machine has been pulled out to allow access for cleaning or decorating since then?;)

    Regards

The washing machine is in the garage. Checked it's level. The tumbler dryer was sitting on top, so that's been taken off but it's still making a helluva rumbling noise on spin cycle, albeit not quite so bad.

My machine is making lots of noise during its spin cycle :( What was the outcome of someone coming to look at your machine???
