Toyota car stereo into a Ford Escort

I am selling my Ford Escort but took my radio/CD player out to put into my new Toyota.
Now the Toyota came with a factory fitted radio/cassett which I want to put into the Escort to sell it. But when you take the Toyota radio/cassett it doesn't have any wires that come out with the unit in order to connect to the Escort.
I do know about the ISO wiring loom & I've bought a Toyota one in order to make my radio/CD fit into the Toyota, thats NOT the problem with the Toyota radio/cassett, its got a white squarish socket at the back that needs so wires in order to plug into either the wires behind where they sit or the Ford ISO wiring loom which I still have from the old radio/CD.
Does all of that make sense???
I don't want to spend much on sorting it, as I'm selling the car for peanuts anyhow, but I would only throw the unit away so the new owner may as well have it.
Thanks in advance
Kim

If I am correct the Toyota stereo will have been made specifically for the Toyota. To fit a new stereo in the Toyota would have needed an adapter. I think you would have to cut wires and connect connectors using a terminal block, to install the Toyota stereo in the Escort. I could be wrong, so hopefully someone more knowledgeable will pop along soon and reply.0

Yes, I am sure you are right it was made for the Toyota.
So now the problem is to get it to fit a Ford Escort.
If it's expensive or tricky I won't worry about it as I'm selling the car so cheap. But if its easy & cheap (ie a connector I can buy) I may as well do it to help the car sell.
