Help!?

We have been in our IVA for 18 months.
Our IVA is with Payplan.
Last July I had to leave my job due to ill health.
When we had our yearly review she didn't like any of the figures I gave her for our incomings and outgoings and basically made them up and then told me to sign a form saying we were happy to be having bigger outgoings than incomings (though we do actually live within our means).
BUT
now I am 4 months pregnant! Previous to the IVA we had had fertility treatments and had been TTC for 5 years so had completely given up, therefore this baby is a complete miracle and not something that was particularly planned but VERY welcome (we are so excited!!!).
I am due in November and our annual review is in October but I am really starting to worry about how the IVA will be affected.
We should *just* about manage to live if we include the child benefit or whatever it is for £20 a week or thereabouts.
We have 65k of debt and we pay £610 a month, we also have a 1k mortgage each month to pay and we aren't left with very much but as I say we should just about manage.
I just think that they should consider lowering our payments, but if the debt companies dont agree then will they make us homeless a month before the baby is due?? (as in make us bankrupt?) or will they come to some sort of agreement to lower our payments?
should i speak to them now or wait a few months? the lady that deals with our case is very intimidating and i dislike talking to her very much hence why i think im getting into such a pickle over things.
I am really not trying to get out of repaying our debts because i dont want to pay them but because im worried how we will survive, I do actually want the satisfaction of having paid back as much as we could.
I so wish we hadn't gotten into so much debt!!!!!!!!
(my husbands debt is about 55k and mine is about 10k as he always earnt substantially more money than me)
I just dont know what to do!

Hi. First of all congratulations !!
I would start discussing this with Payplan right away, so you have time to negotiate if need be. If you don't want to chat with your caseworker direct try emailing gemma.burton@payplan.com ( she is the Payplan representative from another forum I am not allowed to mention ) I am sure she will be able to assist (let's hope she isn't your current caseworker !! ).
Best of luck with it all.0 -
Congratulations on your pregnancy :-)
If you speak to payplan they should be able to assit you and possibly reduce your payments or vary the IVA.
All the best for remainder of your pregnancy x0 -
Hi,
It is extremely important that you keep us up to date at all times with regards to your situation so that we can make sure we are giving you the best advice.
If you start to struggle with your monthly repayments then it may be possible for you to reduce your payment to allow you to live more comfortably, however it does all depend on your IVA proposals as to how we are able to do this.
Please feel free to contact me on the above email address and I will look into your case for you.
Many Thanks
