Can't access some websites all of a sudden - any help?

Options
Hi all,

I could really use some help with this - hopefully there are some clever peeps out there who can shed some light on my problem.

All of a sudden a couple of months ago i could no longer access the website for the business i am setting up or the email account that goes with it. www.enchantedteachest.com As you imagine this is a problem that i really need sorting. I have been dithering and hoping it would sort itself but obviously it hasn't.

It seems my wifi is blocking the sites because i can access them using other wifi in other peoples houses. I'm sure its my wifi as the sites won't work on laptop, mine or husbands android phones or my ipad when i'm at home. It seems to be blocking the server that hosts these sites as when i try to access the website of the guy who built the website thats blocked too.

I made no changes to my system - one day things worked and the next they didn't. I use Virgin Media Broadband and ie8, but its blocked on firefox and safari too.

I'd really appreciate any help and if you could explain in clear step by step instructions that would be a real help. I am not a techie by any means!

Thanks for any help. Really appreciate it.

HUGE THANKS! To all those who post comps and answers

The fact you can't access using any of the devices suggests one of two things: Your router or your ISP. The fact you're on Virgin says ISP to me, but to be certain, turn off your router for a couple of minutes, turn it back on, restart your PC and try again.

If it doesn't work, contact Virgin technical support and ask them to check they are not accidentally filtering the address: Most British ISPs are now under a court order to block access to the pirate bay, and it may be that your site has accidentally been included in the filters.

A friend of mine is on Virgin Media and he had an issue where he couldn't access a particular piracy site from any of his PCs but somehow could access it from his phone. Eventually it resolved itself, which suggests Virgin were blocking the route to the site.
