Bye Bye Santander

Well Im glad this day has arrived, we have finally said bye bye to Santander. Finally been able to get rid of this useless totally unhelpful bank we have been stuck with for ages.
We have found them eager to charge and send out the standard letters saying we love you we want to help you blah blah blah but when it comes to us asking for some help they have turned round on numerous occasions and told us to go away. We have been in financial trouble for ages and have not had a sufficently clean Credit score until now to be able to clear off and tell them where to go.
Safe to say through no help from them and their continuing charges we have managed to clear our debts with them and will be giving them the old two finger sign.
We have been with them since Alliance & Leicester days and are So glad to get shot of them.
That combined with having successfully remortgaged onto a lower interest rate than our previous 5 yr fixed which was set at 5.99% and killing us on a monthly basis, we are now a lot better off.
I havnt felt this good in years.

I agree Santander are bad and understand why you've left but them as a lender do have responsibility where lending goes & you've said due to a bad credit score you were turned down but TBH they were only doing what every bank would do and that's not lend to high risk customers in trouble or not with a borrower in financial trouble it's the banks policy.0

Why did you fix for 5 years if it was KILLING you. You took it out knowing how much repayments were!!!
Personally I do not or ever had any problems with Santander.
