Went for an interview last week which went really well, i would love the job and think im suitable for the companies way of life.
Just heard back from the agent and apparently i interviewed really well but lacked the management experience and they thought i was 'too nice' and would potentially be a push over!
I thanked the agent for the feedback and hung up ... Then i got angry  I AM the right person for this role .... So i phoned her, told her I knew it wasnt really the done thing but could she phone them and try and get me back in to see them ... I know i can show them how good i am if i can just get back to see them.
Am I crazy? Should i just accept they didnt want me? They havent given the position to anyone else yet apparently.
Has anyone done this before and got the answer they wanted?
If i havent heard back from the agency by this afternoon im going to call the guy myself
I WANT A YES

Well seeing as they said they were worried you were a push over this will certainly show that is not the case. I can't see you have anything to lose.0

Thank you thats what i thought. Im so frustrated because i know im right for the job and the company. I've been kicking myself all weekend about ways part of the interview went and how i felt i could have done more to show how right i am for the role ..... Arrrggghhhh i want this job :j0 -
Just to warn you that there is probably zero chance of the agent actually calling the client and asking them to see you again. They might probably pretend to have called and fob you off with an excuse, at best. You would probably have been better off emailing the person that interviewed you. But you had nothing to lose and I hope that the agent does prove me wrong and it works out for you.0

If I were intereviewing I wouldn't interview you again - you had your chance. Sorry.
That said, you've nothing to lose and occasionally long shots pay off.0 -
Thanks, i will give it until 1600 ish and then call him myself. I did think that about the agent as well!
@Mara69 ... Longshot is better than no shot right? :T0 -
If they interview you again, they will have to interview everyone else they rejected - why should you get special treatment??"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Because im the cheeky one who stalked them :rotfl:0 -
I hope it works out for you. My brother kept bugging a store he wanted to work for & he was hired! Lol. Took him about 3 attempts. He'd apply, they'd interview him & for one reason or another, he wouldn't get the job.. Kept at it though & handing in new applications.. Must have seen something in him! Worked out well for the company back then because he was a damn hard worker too! Good luck x0

You can say all you like that you are right for the job, but the important ones are them and they dont think youre right for the job.
It will sound like your begging and are desperate for the job and If I were the interviewer I certainly wouldnt see you again because I had already told you you werent what we were looking for.
I would just write a pleasant email to them, thanking them for the opportunity and would they kindly keep you in mind for any further vacancies that may be suitable for you.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
