Just wondered if anyone could help me with how to access the windscreen washer bottle ona Vauxhall Meriva please?

Daughters car is due its MOT soon and there is a problem with the rear screen washer, fronts work ok but when you operate the rear washer water floods out from under the front wheel arch so it looks like a split or disconnected pipe.

The washer bottle is buried behind various other components up by the windscreen area and I wondered if I am best trying to access from above or by removing the front wheel and trying to get to it from behind the wheel arch Liner?

Any suggestions appreciated

Unfortunatly you have to take the wiper arms off and remove the water deflector, and move the brake fluid reservoir to one side, bit of a fiddly job.

it's from the top and involves removal of the engine compartment rubber sealing strip (across the car in front of the wipers), wiper arms, windscreen cowl panel (6 bolts/screws), bulkhead closing panel (6 bolts/screws and 1 clip), one nut securing the reservoir then it lifts out to gain access to pump, pipes and wiring connector.

Found this after a google search. Hope it helps

I did wonder about this. It needs doing anyway but if it is not an MOT issue then it takes away some of the pressure to get is sorted. Thanks
