I've not heard anything about them going out of circulation. Presumably the Houblon note will go out eventually.0

The Bank will make a public announcement about the withdrawal date of the Houblon £50 note in due course. The announcement will be made a minimum of 3 months in advance of the actual withdrawal date.0
