Cheaper reasonable quality kitchens

Hi,

I don't want a kitchen designer or a fitter

I'm looking at spending £1.5ish on my units, doors, handles, work top. It's a galley kitchen, one side will have floor and wall units, the other will just have floor units.

So far the best is probably the Wickes 'Take Away' Kitchens. I'm after a white gloss style modern kitchen.

The Houston is £669 based on 8 units with doors and handles. I've seen it in store and it looks fine (well not the whole kitchen display they don't do this, but seen some panels)

Does anyone know anything either cheaper or similar price but nicer/better quality

Ikea is quite a bit more expensive

Have looked at Selco online but no price list.

Going to be living in the house prob 2 yrs, with lodgers and then renting out, so prob discarding gloss worktops as they scratch easy etc.

Thank you

I have used B& Q a few times and found them to pretty good stuff for the price.

I find them cheaper than Wickes on both Bathrooms and Kitchens and tend to have more selection.

If you are looking for sinks/taps fittings look at Screwfix ("trade" arm of B&Q) some interesting savings can be made.

Hmmm, pricing up a 600mm unit the B&Q one is bit more expensive once doors & handles have been added on and the Wickes unit is quite a lot taller

Tradepoint is the trade arm of B&Q hmmmm. Guessing the prices will be similar and I don't find them that cheap compared to internet only stores

Tradepoint is the in store arm. Screwfix is "standalone" but still the same envelope.
