Did you click edit, select all, click edit, click copy?
Then open a blank page, click edit, click paste.
Though I tried it and it just covered the entire image0 -
Try using the Magic Wand tool; fiddle with the Tolerance setting until you get the desired results.0

Use "Gimp" free software very similar to photoshop, use clone tool.
