4 months pregnant and being made redundant. HELP ME PLEASE!!

Hi guys im fairly new to this,
I found out today i am going to be made redundant soon, i believe they have given my 5 weeks notice which is nice. i guess.
what i was wondering is i am not going to be able to SMP from my employer will i get Maternity Allowance? my boss said he will try and take me on some where else in the building as my job role is non existent from now on, but that still means i cant get smp.
please help. i just need to know if i can claim while i have the baby ect

You need a definitive answer from your boss whether you are being kep on or not before worrying about anything else. 'Try' isnt good enough.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

ive been there 3 years, i have been job center and they have said i can claim maternity allowance so thats good. never not had a job so i am so worried0

its just me, but i am the only one in this job role. they are going to be replacing me with someone on half the hours.0

How many weeks pregnant are you and how many weeks pregnant will you be at your leave date? If you are still employed during your qualifying week (15th week before baby is due) you may still qualify for SMP.0

If they are going to replace you with someone who could do your job in half the time, it doesn't sound like that is a true redundancy.
Threaten them with an industrial tribunal. That should see some rapid response.0
