Installing a small basin in cloakroom

Hi
I have a cloakroom with a toilet, however no sink as yet...
Behind the wall where I want to install the sink the combi boiler is located and there are 2 pipes for the washing machine (the hot water is capped as the machine is cold water plumbed). Therefore:
Could I
(a) utilise the capped hot water pipe and run this through to the tap (as we will only want to have hot water running to wash our hands) or
(b) utilise the cold water pipe that is used by the washing machine
Thanks in advance

You can do both. It seems pointless only having one or the other. The cost differential in taping into both hot and cold pipes is not worth worrying about.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Oops I should have said both, would it be ok to just use the hot water supply? I am the worlds worst person at getting my point across on forums0

There's a slight delay before it heats up (there is anyway when I fill the sink and the bath) so it should be ok... I thinkUnlikely as your hot water should be too hot to comfortably wash your hands (but not burn).
Just to confirm could I run the cold water from the same pipe that supplies my washing machine?0 -
No problem using the same pipe.0

But the problem would be if people used the bathroom consecutively. I would just do it properly so you can have both (with a nice mixer tap)0
