    Why don't Halifax have the guts to display on their home page that their Faster Payment System isn't working today. I eventually paid my bills via other means but they have wasted my time.

    It is still possible to transfer between Lloyds and Halifax instantly (as it goes internally) but if neither's faster payment service is working that's not that useful...

    If I recall correctly, the FP commitment is that the money arrives in the payee's bank by end of next working day. Just because we get lots of payments almost instantly doesn't mean there can't be some that will take longer.

    I got faster payments out from Halifax. I blame the George Osborne and the Levenson Enquiry together with Roy Hodgson and 4-5-1 for the previous failure of this service.

    Lloyds faster payments seems to be working now, have just managed to send a payment to M & S.
