Hi everyone
I just wondered if many off you had, had phone calls fom your Bank regading PPI?
I made a PPI claim with the Halifax on 20th April , as had PPI on a Loan I took out in 2004. The PPI on my Loan was £550.42, I was told at the time because of my age I had to take it out so would get the loan.
Well someone called me a few weeks ago ( Witheld Number) and said , Hello Im calling from the Halifax , Could you give me your full name and date of birth? I was rather reluctant to give info on the phone as she could be anybody, Well after several questions realised they were from the Bank so gave them the Info. They asked me about my employment at the time and my Benefits , So said got Sick pay if thats what she wanted to know, She was rather off throughout, asked again why I thought had been mis sold so explained, but have not heard a thing since.
So wondered if is normal to get a call or should I panic that the call may have not been from the bank ?
Is this bad news as the 8 weeks up the end of this week?
Many Thanks for your kind help.

Hi,
Just wanted to post to say I had the exact same phone call yesterday, wanting to clarify a few details.
I've already had a successful claim from the Halifax for my loan PPI which I never received a phone call for, my outstanding complaint is for my credit card so I'm not sure if this is a sign it will be rejected?
It's just coming up to the 4 week mark so another few weeks of waiting I reckon!0 -
I also had a phonecall from Halifax regarding a credit card PPI to clarify some dates and circumstance. A few weeks later my complaint was upheld0

Congrats Wesleyad on your success :T
Can I ask what reasons you gave for misselling? I'm trying not to get my hopes up as I believe cc complaints aren't upheld as much as loans, I may be wrong though.0 -

Statistically, no they are not. Mainly as credit card PPI is monthly premium and not single premium front loaded. That is a major uphold reason for loans and not applicable to credit card.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
