Bite card - any weird t&cs to worry about?

Options
Hi all,

I recently came across the Bite card (MSE link: deals/cheap-restaurant-deals/bite-card).

Looking at signing up and can't see anything untoward in their T&Cs on the website. Just wondering if anybody knows any more about how they use your data etc. and whether there's anything to be concerned about?

I spend a lot of time travelling using the train so this could be handy!

Thanks,
Will.

OH and I both have one, it won't give you discounts off magazines in Pumpkin but OH has gotten discount off beer in a bar in London Charing Cross. Not had any bumpf or other mailings as a result. Recommend for commuters/regular train users or anyone living near enough to a station to pop in for coffee/breakfast/food.
  • Thanks Edwardia!

No bumpf is good. Giving it a shot.

Just applied too, 20% off might bring the quite steep prices down to something I might pay at the station.

Wen i use my bite card at Burger King, it works out cheaper than it would be if i used an off-site BK.
just passing through.... Nothing to see....

I got one last year when I was doing a lot of train journeys for working (and claiming back the expenses!) and I couldn't fault it at all.
  • There really doesn't seem to be a catch, I've had a good look now. I opted out of any additional marketing so this could be my 'free lunch'
  • Can't buy confectionery,crisps,ice cream,newspapers,magazines,books,cigarettes,tobacco and telephone cards.

    No weird t&c's at all.

Just to warn anyone with the "old" bite card (the one that has a "bite" taken out of the corner).

This card is soon going to be invalid, and you need to apply for a new one (for free). The replacement is personalised with your name, and a "membership" number, and also has a credit card style strip on the back. From what I can gather on their website, there could be more offers coming soon than the standard 20%.
