Renting out a room for the Olympics

Hi,
I'm sure this will have been covered somewhere on this site already, I've had a search though and I can't find anything so hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction.
I live in the east end of London and it seems that we will have a bedroom free over the Olympics, can anyone recommend a channel through which we could rent it out? i.e. are there official Olympic websites set up for this sort of thing? Any info would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Adam

your best bet would be to ask a local estate agent.
however I've heard that the supply of this has far outstripped the demand. if you do rent it out don't have the expectation for getting big money - sorry!0 -
Try AirBnB. However, a friend who lives in East London has told me that a local estate agent says the same thing: the hotels are not full yet.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

You could try contacting LOCOG and seeing if they need any rooms for staff/contractors to stay in? They recently put a friend up in a flat on New Bond St for a couple of months - they will need more rooms, or at least have noticeboards for people who might need somewhere....0

I think you've missed the boat on this. The time to be signing up for this was end of last year, beginning of this year. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Good luck with letting a room out - sincerely.
I just hope that the LLs who have been ousting their regular Ts in the hope of making a huge profit from temporary Olympic relatedwhole house lets find themselves with an expensive void.0
