revamping my kitchen

Hi folks

I have decided that I want a dishwasher :j. To get one I will have to remove a double base cupboard witch is 80cm wide. The dishwasher i chosen is 60cm wide so I will have to find a cupboard of just 20cm wide. I have had a little look on the internet but I can't find a cupboard just 20cm wide. I don't even mind if is an open wine rack but would like it to be in black if possible. I just need something to fit the gap,

any suggestions welcome

thanx Andrea

Couldn't you have something made? I'm sure a handyman could easily knock up a unit to fit with some shelves or something? You could get some satin wood paint so you could have the colour you wanted once it's done.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
  • Thanks Cattie, I was thinking of that but I don't know any handymen, I was thinking of going into a local timber firm and asking could they make me one, it's sound silly but i feel embarrased as it such a small thing but my kitchen would look silly without it,

i am intending to renew my kitchen doors and sink too but will have to do it slowly due to money,

Howdens do a 200mm wide unit as well as a 150 wine rack.

I think that out of the sheds it is, which is why the designer at my local Howdens branch makes sure he puts them into every plan he does whether they are the best solution for the space or not!

"They cant copy my plan!" ....
  • Thanks Phill99 I dropped in at Howdens on the way home from work (I didn't even know we had one). They priced one up for me for only £55, I think that is good, nothing posh but it looks ok and it will fill the gap, so I think i am going to go for that one, unless something else attracts me to it
