One glimpse of sunshine at 8.30 this morning was enough to get me in the garden! Sitting here now, aching but joyful:j
It's amazing how much I managed to get done...only stopped to nip to the local nursery to buy more compost. Lawns mowed, a new large bed dug, with manure/compost added ...even found time to get a couple of new plants in!
More rain on the way though and just as I have a week off work......always the way!!!!!
One day my garden/wilderness will finally be sorted and I will be able to sit outside (probably with my umbrella!) and chill with a beer

This year I will have something that resembles a garden and not a building site!

A garden is a place of beauty , we always seem to be working at it, I stop to drink a cup of tea, then see another job I must do then back on the go again so we actually dont sit much and enjoy it..!!....
Lots of rain forecasted this week and pretty cool , so we all maybe indoors watching it through the windows.........:)0 -
My garden isn't quite a place of beauty... more a building site; at the moment it's all the hard slog of digging, more digging, filling skips and then even more digging LOL
The bed I've just done today is my little reward...and to give me hope!Stopped smoking 20th October 2012

Nice to see people managing to get out into their gardens. Long may it continue!

Raining here too, its barely stopped all day. I need to get the lawn mowed before going off to the seaside for a week , don't think that's going to happen somehow and as for a dip in the sea ? Do pigs fly?#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

managed to get the grass cut and sort the chickens out after work yesterday! not been able to all week as garden gets waterlogged very easily. Unfortunately the rain is back so the front garden will have to wait. Hoping and praying for a dry spell before thursday so i can get it cut before i go away, otherwise itll be close to 5 weeks without one and ill need a machette to get in the house!
lots of sun + lots of rain = jungle garden!0 -
It's cold and miserable with constant fine rain here - it feels more like November! Managed to get my lawn done yesterday, spot sprayed the weeds on my lawn and driveway....the weedkiller had all of 5 hours before the heavens opened, although had dried well before then. What's the likelihood of it working?Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I'm no expert but don't think weedkiller will work after just 5 hours will it?
Really lucky here again...stayed dry and cloudy all day...got a bit panicky about 4pm, thought the heavens were going to open just as I was getting some new plants in but it was a false alarm YIPPEE!Stopped smoking 20th October 2012
