not sure which forum is apt but question re death/succession/inheritance .
unlike royal family , all my family are flying together next week .
my wife's and my joint will is up to date & leaves everything to both /either daughter : one has partner of 18 months , other has husband & 2 (grand) children .
i am assuming worst scenario that we are all killed .
where does the estate go ? does it revert to our parent(s) or does it go down the line to the nearest relative ?
any help would be appreciated .

I think off memory it goes down, down, up, out (kids, grand kids, parents, brothers/sisters/cousins etc).
