Grohe or Hansgrohe

Hi,
I'm currently getting several quotes together for a bathroom refit. A friend had recently had his bathroom fitted and recommend Grohe fixtures (Taps / Shower).
One supplier has recommended Grohe. I went to another supplier and they have practically said the opposite Hasgrohe is their preferred make.
At the end of the day, I really have to go whichever supplier comes out best including the warranties etc. But I just wanted to get an idea if there was a general perception over one than the other.
Thanks!
Regards
Mark

All our taps and shower fittings in the new house are Hansgrohe after much discussion (drove the shop mad for a year before I bought).0

there isnt much in it. they are both excellent quality though for me hansgrohe has a slight edge on design. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I used to like Hansgrohe, and have several of their taps etc.
However, the bathroom tap had a really silly pop-up mechanism, which stopped working anyway within a year or two. (We have kept the tap, just changed to a pop-up waste).
The Hansgrohe tap in the utility room is four years' old and has developed a couple of pinhole leaks (had a five year guarantee which I am planning to claim under).
I would now not consider Hansgrohe. My new kitchen has a Grohe tap, which appears to be very good quality and which looks great. I agree, though, that Hansgrohe generally wins on the style front. There were few Grohe taps on my short list.0
