Claim for ipod (value £150) on home insurance policy?

My recently purchased iPod was damaged. I have the receipt and the damage is visually self explanatory. For the first time, I have a need to claim something on my contents policy.. but what will be the effect on my premiums ?? I currently only pay a few pounds a month. I rent and presumably have a no claims bonus of 10 years plus.. since I've been renting and paying contents insurance for that long and have never claimed. Any comments?

It is not only your increased premiums you need to consider, but the excess as well.
