Chicago O'Hare - onward travel query

We are flying to chicago next week but still have not sorted onward travel. Staying at Homewood Suites by Hilton 40 E Grand Ave, Chicago, IL 6061. Can anyone recommend a good way of getting from one to the other and back?

if you were up for it - you could take the Blue Line from O'Hare to Monroe (about 40 mins)...1 min walk to Dearborn & Monroe...36 bus to State/Grand (6 mins) and 2 min walk to the hotel...should be less than $5 I think.

But not sure that is the sort of thing you are after - depending on what sort of luggage you will have and how adventurous you are you may not want to try it...though the Blue Line stop is downstairs at O'Hare...and that will get you awful darn close to where you want to go.

Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
  • Yuuuuuuuuuuup jump on the "Blue Line" that's what we will be doing the week after ! If you get chance in Chicago visit "Billy Goats Tavern" for a cheeseburger ......... but no fries !
