    Well I put in my offer (for full valuation price) this morning to be told the house was going to a closing date as there had been another offer and a note of interest.

    Properties are selling.

    i viewed 4 homes - all on the market that week. Im buying one and all the others are now sold STC - thats 4 weeks on the market for all 4.

    Prices are around 2004 levels though. Taking a hit on peak 2007 prices is normal though.

    I am happy living in one of the hell holes up north, mortgage is less than 25% of income, its easy to get to work and I have great neighbours.
