Tesco Credit Card overcharge warning

The experience and level of "service" I am currently receiving from Tesco credit cards is so shockingly bad that I would urge anyone to rethink using them. Long and short it that they have added £2000 onto my account that is not my spend (it is their error by their own admittance) and are now sending me letters to add on charges, reduce my credit limit and to add insult to injury I have also now been advised by excellent credit rating has been downgraded. I have been trying to sort this issue out with Tesco since March. They do not return phone calls and do not answer letters. The call centre staff clearly have no information to hand and are, frankly, so disinterested it's not true. Looks like my next port of call is the financial ombudsmen. They are scandalously incompetant. This is both distressing and stressful and they couldn't care less!!!
How have they added £2000 to your account?0 -

There's hardly any need to get "stressed and distressed" over it. If it's not you spending it then it will eventually get removed and you won't be liable for any of the interest etc. Particularly as it's on a credit card and as such, you aren't actually missing £2000 of your money.
As to rethinking holding a Tesco Credit Card, if I was in the habit of "rethinking" my financial services everytime someone made a complaint then I'd have zero accounts with money stashed under the bed!0 -
The reason I am stressed it because it's taking a lot of my time to try and resolve, dealing with incompetants who really couldn't give two hoots. I have better things to do than havce to deal with letters telling me I'll be taken to court and have that my credit rating has been downgraded due to missed payments. Missed payments that don't actually exist!!! Nearly 3.5 months of trying to sort this is NOT acceptable in anyones book surely?0

I would imagine that someone has made a £2000 purchase with their Tesco CC and the purchase has been allocated to Scoobys card and the other person is thinking, oh that £2000 purchase isn't showing on my card yet.0
