Tomtom refund?

Can anyone give any advice on getting a refund back from TomTom?
I recently went onto tomtom website input the information of my tomtom and requested updates, I then continued to purchase an update for maps I paid £44.95 and then when I tried to upload the information to my tomtom. I was then shocked when it said that this was not able to download as there wasn't enough room to download!
I had input all the details of the tomtom surely it shouldn't have allowed me to purchase if this wasn't suitable for my particular model?
I have tried to contact Tomtom but to no avail, there are no details to email, the phone numbers are never answered! Please can anyone offer any advice what do I do next??

    Hi,

What is the model number of the TomTom?

Does it have an SD card in it?, if so, you could buy a 4GB card for about £3-£4 which would fit the maps in it (I presume these are europe maps?)

Hi its a tomtom GO 300 it states this item does not fit on your device 166.66MB after I purchased it. I have got an SD card just noticed it only holds 128MB so I evidently need to buy a bigger one?
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!!!

128MB SD card? You've had that for a while then!

    Hi,

Yes, you will need a bigger SD card. There is one here from Play for £3.29 delivered.

Its 4GB which is way more than you need at the moment but would also be enough in case you ever buy the european maps.

To copy from the old card, plug the TomTom into a PC and copy all the contents of your current SD card to a folder you create.

Then copy everything from that folder onto your new SD card. Once you have done this, try to update the maps again and this time it should work fine.

    Hope this helps
