You can put the dough in the fridge overnight and bake in the morning
More in this thread; I'll merge this later to keep ideas together.

Thank you Penelope.
I did search for 'overnight bread' and 'overnight dough' but didn't come up with that thread at all. Perhaps we would benefit from a sticky at the top of this forum for tips on how to search? You BGs always seem to find the right threads where we fail

There is a sticky; it's been there for months
With searching often less is more; "overnight" came up with lots of hits.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
I leave my dough out overnight to 'prove' then just knock it back in the morning and leave it for half an hour while the oven is heating.
Then straight into the oven.
If you put the dough in the fridge then it'll need to be left for at least an hour after knocking back.
Leaving bread to prove for several hours results in a more even density loaf.
I use the Hairy Bikers tip for proving dough - I leave it in a big bowl, covered with a shower cap rescued from a hotel room.Gus.0 -

Buying a Panasonic BM is quite a hefty outlay, though. By baking bread in the oven, that cost is avoided:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Oh dear, there's no hope for me is there?! I didn't even spot that thread :rotfl::rotfl:
Well, I made the bread, let it rise for an hour at room temp, knocked it back and put it in the fridge overnight covered in lightly oiled cling film. I've just taken it out, will leave for 1/2 hour then bake. Looks good so far!0 -

Also you can tell the difference between Breadmaker bread and non BM bread. I have a panasonic BM but most of my read I make by hand as there is a noticeable difference in quality. I just use the BM occasionally if I haven't got time to make by hand. Personally I don't think a BM is worth the outlay. Ours was a present but if it broke I wouldn't replace it.0 -
