looking for a cheap stay in paignton in july

Hi we are family of three, 2 adults and soon to be be 6 year old daughter, we are looking to take her to for a 3 night break in July 30th-31st for her birthday, we are looking for a seaside holiday with all the usual stuff you get by the sea, we have been considering a few places mainly the travelodge seafront in paignton but it’s just the parking issues related to the hotel that put me off. Could anyone recommend any good cheap but decent hotels to stay in, and it doesn’t have to be paignton but we would like to keep in Devon/Dawlish/ those sorts of areas. Any help appreciated

Have you looked at the premier inn on the see front, next to the splashdown. It has good reviews.

I think the Premier Inn you were thinking is in Goodrington Sands. Its lovely and I think all rooms have a view of the beach (stayed twice and both times ours did). Its not cheap though unless you can get a £29 room.

Travel lodge is ok too but like you say parking is an issue. Its an issue at Premier Inn Goodrington Sands too as you pay for parking in season.

I always stay at different hotel in Paignton unless Premier Inn have a sale. have a look at Trivago, late rooms etc to find something good. Some of the B&B's & small hotels work out more expensive as they charge on a per person basis instead of per room.

For Paignton I have stayed in the Queens Hotel, The Palace, The Ashleigh Hotel, Premier Inn, Travel Lodge, The Clifton (not recommended) and a few others.

Hi and thankyou for your replys, i have tried the premier inn but they are all booked up for the dates i need, only option left for good price is travelodge, which i dont have issue with staying inn but as mentioned is the parking is my drawback, i would just like to ask where did you park when you stayed at travelodge and was it big issue. we would be ariving at hotel early as possible around 10:00am ish and im probally just going to park up and not use car for remainder of the 3 days. the offer i was given was £128 with early checkin for 3 nights does this sound ok for this hotel or overpriced. again sorry for all questions but last thing i want is to get there and be dissapointed.

    thank you
