have you tried the linux options above? (the one i posted is for running it from USB)
ie download ubuntu (or linux mint)
install it to usb stick via pendrivelinux
plug in usb stick to infected laptop
boot up infected laptop and change boot order to usb first in the bios
once booted up go to software centre and download clamAV, back up important data and scan the files to make sure they are not infected
then you can either update clamAV and run and scan on your hard drive and remove nasties and try to reboot into windows, or you can just go for the belt and braces and reinstall windows from the recovery partitionDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
There are lots of "software" solutions but I would go for a "hardware" solution for relative simplicity.
Take the hard disk out (google for instructions for your laptop model)
Put it in a caddy (such as 2.5 SATA TO USB HARD DRIVE CADDY from Amazon - but your disk may be IDE not SATA - check by Googling the disk make once you have it out).
Retrieve the valuable files on another computer with the disk plugged in via the USB caddy.
Put the disk back in the computer.
