I'm not stressed atm but will be when we leave.

We leave at 4am so Kia will be going to brothers the night before, going to feel guilty leaving her :( especially as she is a rescue I am hoping she doesn't think she has been left again !! It's not like I can phone my pets and assure them I'll be back like you would with kids :(

That comment makes me feel slightly less weird about sometimes wanting to ring the dog while I am out to check he is ok!

I think I may train him to text...
  • Con, if it helps at all, Maisie has just been at DMs for a fortnight - and I'd only had her 3 weeks and was really worried she'd think a) think she'd been taken somewhere strange and abandoned by me and b) that she wouldn't remember me....

TBH she had a whale of a time & was absolutely fine (and luckily did remember me!)

Ahhh brilliant that helps me a lot. I think she will enjoy it as she loves attention and the kids give her loads. She will probably get more treats aswell as I try not to give her too much but I know that they will.

This is the first time since moving out that I've been away on holiday for longer than a few days. We went away last year but didn't have pets yet.
