I won an item on the 23rd, paid via paypal immediately, sent seller an email asking him to confirm when posted.
No response, so sent another, same result.
Today mailed him to say that if I had no confirmation of posting I would have to start getting money back through paypal.
Am I doing the right thing?
Would rather get cash back and then deail with negative feedback, seller has positive feedback of over 100 so this is a little unusual, wonder if he has gone on holiday.

You are being far too hasty. If you paid on Wednesday 23rd there is the possibility that the buyer might not have been able to post it out immediately on Thursday. Since the post office was closed on the Friday and yesterday and only ran a partial service Saturday there is the possibility that today is the first posting day.
Even if the item was posted on Thursday it might be like a couple of my items and stuck somewhere in the sorting office.
If you do decide to start a paypal chargeback then you have to wait a full 7 days anyway.

Give the seller a chance, its less than a week and Bank Holidays.
Sounds like you shouldnt be buying from Ebay if you are that impatient.0 -
There's no excuse for a seller not replying to e-mails, i like to make contact before i send any money.
Leave a few working days before claiming money back and then leave feedback, 'No communication with seller'

Hi
Normally you would allow a week, but as it is the bank holidays things are running a bit slow. Also a lot of people are busier than usual. So give it a few more days. Unfortunately not everyone replies to emails as a lot only use their computer occassionaly - so although it may seem rude it does not mean anything bad.
Give it a few more days and then take some action usually an item not recieved report starts things moving.
I disagee with the person who said you should not bid on ebay if you are impatient - heck most of us are impatient - but remember that sometimes things crop up and I allow 7 -10 days to recieve bought items just in case. I have never had to file an item not recieved and I have bought about 300 +.0 -
Also the seller may not be replying to your emails as they may have been away for the easter weekend.0
