Beware TCB/Quidco - they can direct to more expensive versions of the same website!!

I've now contacted both Topcashback and Quidco to make them aware of this issue. Will have to wait and see if they rectify it.

The same thing happened to us with TCB when we were thinking of signing up for sky tv.

    Hi everyone,

This has been brought to our attention and I would like to reassure you that this is being investigated further by Quidco. The price when going direct to the retailer should always be the same as when going through Quidco, so do please let us know if you see any further instances of this and we're always happy to take this up with the retailer.

@gorgirl - I believe I responded to your support ticket on Quidco today, thank you for bringing this to our attention again. I'll be sure to keep you updated and I'll let you know once I have had a response from our Administration Team.

    Many thanks,

    Hi all,

We have now spoken to the retailer regarding this issue and they have confirmed that they were experiencing a technical glitch that affected some items during a promotion, however this was not affecting all items on their site. They have now assured us that they are looking into this further to ensure that a problem of this nature does not happen again. I just want to reiterate that prices should always be the same whether you shop direct or via Quidco so if you do ever find any discrepancies please contact our customer care team and we will investigate further. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

    Many thanks,

    Rosie

This is still happening with Quidco/ Red Letter Days. £198 vs £265!

It makes me feel quite sick, because I use Quidco for lots and lots of transactions, and now I am concerned that I have been paying over the top all the time.

    Here is the link:

I budgeted for £198, if I had gone through quidco I would have been worse off. I had to switch browsers to get it at £198, but with no cashback.

    It is shameful.

That's the last time I place any trust whatsoever in Quidco!
  • Hi,

I had the same thing happen, booking BA flights thru Expedia earlier this year.

Cheaper flights if I didnt click thru Quidco.

    Cheers,
    Karen

Quidco confirmed cash back over 4 or 5 years = £2171!-

I feel physically sick. . how many times was I paying over the top?

I'm also gutted that I won't be getting the cash back on the £198 that I have just spent.
  • Going through TopCash back my More Than quote was dearer than going straight to their site. I just always check prices both ways - disappointing though
